well

video installation, 2007

//

the project bases on the imaginary well people carry around themselves, to where they always have to come back. the architectural structure of a well turnes into a metaphoric element which separates the subject constantly from the surrounding space, though not completely, so that it could create a stance in-between inner and outer space.

the video allows the different bodies in the space to remain connected, through sound. it shows random imagery combined with text read by a female voice. they meet and part through the edit and lead the viewer to the associative perception of images and words.

site-specific installation with further sculptural variations of well. the sculptures emphasize the physical perception of body and space.
